Internships are an important part university education, giving bachelor's and master's-level students an opportunity to gain new skills, narrow their career choices, and help them find jobs. Internships at the bachelor's level last 20 to 40 days, while those at the master's level are from 30 days to 4 months.
The size and nature of host organizations vary widely, from embassies to government departments, political parties, private companies, newspapers, NGOs, and so on. The duties assigned to interns also vary considerably: they may work as communications officers, political attachés, researchers, public affairs co-ordinators, etc.
